Emergency First Aid and CPR
Designed to meet the needs of customers that are served by 911 emergency services. Course is completed in 4-5 hours and thus minimizes the time your staff is away from their workplace.
This course provides all relevant first aid training that is required in the crucial 3-5 minute window after the onset of an emergency. It generally takes Fire and/or Ambulance this time to arrive on scene after a 9/11 call is made. It is critical that the appropriate action is taken for the victim(s) before the arrival of emergency services.
In addition to the first aid training, adult and child CPR will be taught along with choking for a conscious and unconscious adult and child. Not only is this course applicable for the workplace but it is useful for the students outside of the workplace . Time: 4-5 hours
Class Size: CPR and First Aid classes can range in size from 8-20 people. The sessions can be booked during the week or weekend, day or evening to accommodate your workplace.
Handouts will be provided to all participants and a certification card is handed out at the end of each session.
Courses are as concise as possible and touch on topics that allow clients in a 911 service area to provide the care required before emergency services arrive. As a certified instructor with the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, clients are provided with courses meeting approved CPR guidelines.
